Purpose. This plan sets out the scope, crew, sequence, permits, materials and safety controls for the seventy-two hour planned shutdown of the primary crushing and conveying circuit at Mount Errol Quarries in October 2026.

1.Scope of work

The shutdown covers the primary jaw crusher, the number one and number two conveyors and the transfer chute. Ironbark will change out the crusher toggle plate and jaw liners, replace the head and tail pulley bearings on conveyor one, replace the worn transfer chute liners and repair cracked sections of the conveyor two gantry walkway. Work not on this list must be raised as a variation with the customer before it starts.

2.Timing and sequence

The plant will be handed over isolated at 6:00 am on Tuesday 13 October 2026 and must be returned to the customer by 6:00 am on Friday 16 October 2026. Day shift runs 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and night shift 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. The crusher and chute work runs in parallel with the conveyor bearing changeouts, and the walkway repair is scheduled for day shift only because it involves hot work at height.

  • Day 1: isolation verification, liner removal, chute liner removal, bearing removal
  • Day 2: liner installation, new chute liners, bearing installation and alignment, walkway repair
  • Day 3: reassembly, guarding, de-isolation, test run and handover

3.Crew and roles

The crew is two fitters, two boilermakers and one leading hand per shift, with the Maintenance Services Manager on site as the Ironbark supervisor. Every crew member must hold a current Mount Errol site induction, isolation training and, for the walkway crew, a working at heights qualification recorded in the training matrix.

4.Materials and equipment

Liners, toggle plate, bearings and chute liner plates are on the material delivery schedule for delivery to site by 9 October 2026. Stores must confirm receipt and certificates in the materials register before the crew mobilises. The mobile welding unit, the hydraulic torque tools and the laser alignment kit must be checked in the equipment register as in service and in calibration.

5.Safety controls

All work is under the customer's isolation permit system with Ironbark personal locks on the group lock box. Hot work on the walkway requires the customer's hot work permit and a fire watch. Crane lifts of liners and pulleys require a lift plan signed by the dogger and supervisor. A job safety analysis will be prepared for each work package on day one with the crew.

6.Communication

The supervisor will attend the customer's shutdown meeting at 6:30 am and 6:30 pm each day and will update the job card progress in the register at each shift change. Any incident, delay or variation must be reported to the customer's shutdown coordinator immediately and to the Ironbark General Manager the same day.

7.Handover and close-out

Handover requires a signed test run, all guards refitted, all Ironbark locks removed, the site cleaned and the condition report with photographs given to the customer. The job card will be closed within five working days with hours, materials, weld records and the condition report attached.
