Fabrication Workshop
Cuts, forms, fits and welds structural and plate steel to drawing in the two Dandenong South bays, from marking out and thermal cutting through to weld inspection, blasting and painting, so that fabricated assemblies leave the works complete, dimensionally correct and documented.

- Mark out, cut and form plate and sections to drawing
- Fit and weld assemblies to qualified welding procedures
- Complete weld records and traceability for code work
- Operate the overhead crane and hot work permit system
- Keep bays, extraction and welding equipment in safe order

Who works here
Leanne Kowalski
Leanne supervises the two fabrication bays, allocates job cards to fitter-welders and signs off hot work permits, and has been at Dandenong South for fourteen years.
Dev Chandra
Dev is a qualified boilermaker who welds code work in Bay 2, mentors second-year apprentices and completes weld records for every structural job he touches, four years at Ironbark.

Tracks every fabrication, machining and maintenance job from quote to close-out with customer, drawing, hours and status.
WHS Incident and Hazard Register
Records injuries, near misses, hazards and environmental events at every site with investigation status and corrective actions.
Plant and Equipment Register
Lists workshop machines, cranes, welding sets, measuring equipment and site tools with inspection, calibration and service status.
